Come and join me for a playful afternoon of yoga at the beautiful Zen Yoga studio in Camberwell @ 12-2 pm on Saturday 29 April. Whether you are new to yoga or have been practising for years, this Spring workshop will help you find a balance between YIN and YANG - our feminine and soft, and active and masculine forces.
Starting with a fluid and dynamic YANG flow, to connect with body, breath and mind, with opportunities to play with arm balances and inversions if you wish. Moving into slow and soothing YIN, to soften and lengthen tight muscles and settle the mind and nervous system. During the workshop I will be offering useful tips and expert guidance to help you become more confident in different yoga poses, and to increase your strength and flexibility.
Be prepared to sweat during the Yang half, before floating off into pure, restful bliss of Yin. We will work with easing muscular tension through holding seated poses for several minutes, going deep into the hips, quads, spine and shoulders. You will come away feeling fully stretched out, more flexible, calm, and with a greater understanding of and connection to your body and mind.
Suitable for all levels, including beginners. Props provided.
Coconut Water and homemade treats included.
